Trek & Trail

The Eastern Himalayas and Nepal's legendary ridgelines are home to some of the world's most breathtaking trekking routes. With Turizo, every trail is more than a walk — it's a journey into raw nature, ancient culture, and your own limits.

Sandakphu Trek

Standing at 3,636 metres, Sandakphu is the highest peak in West Bengal and the only place on earth where you can see four of the world's five tallest peaks — Everest, Kanchenjunga, Lhotse, and Makalu — all in one panoramic view. The trail winds through the Singalila National Park past rhododendron forests, remote Sherpa villages, and alpine meadows. Best tackled between October–November and March–May, this 5–6 day trek is a classic for both seasoned trekkers and motivated beginners.

Annapurna Base Camp Trek

The Annapurna Base Camp trek takes you deep into the heart of the Annapurna Sanctuary — a natural amphitheatre ringed by peaks above 7,000 metres. The trail passes through terraced farmlands, dense rhododendron forests, and traditional Gurung villages before rising into the glacial valley at 4,130 metres. The reward at the top is unparalleled: a 360-degree wall of Himalayan giants including Annapurna I, Machapuchare (Fishtail), and Hiunchuli. A classic 10–12 day journey suited to all fitness levels.

Everest Base Camp Trek

Few treks carry the mythic weight of the Everest Base Camp route. Beginning at Lukla's famous airstrip, the trail follows the Dudh Koshi river valley through Sherpa heartland — past the famous Tengboche Monastery, yak trains, prayer flags, and stone villages perched impossibly high. Reaching Base Camp at 5,364 metres, with Khumbu Icefall roaring above and the summit of Everest cutting the sky, is an experience that changes you. A 12–14 day trek for those who want to stand at the foot of the world.

Goechala Trek

The Goechala Trek is Sikkim's crown jewel — a 10–11 day high-altitude route that leads to a dramatic viewpoint of the south face of Kanchenjunga, the world's third highest mountain, at 4,940 metres. Starting from Yuksom, one of Sikkim's oldest villages, the trail climbs through pristine forests, alpine meadows thick with wildflowers, and glacial moraines. Passing Dzongri and Thansing, it's a journey through some of the most biodiverse terrain in the Himalayas, far removed from tourist crowds.

Poon Hill Trek

Poon Hill at 3,210 metres offers one of Nepal's most celebrated sunrise viewpoints — a sweeping golden panorama of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges reflected in the first light of dawn. This 4–5 day trek through the Ghorepani region is perfect for first-time trekkers and families, combining comfortable teahouse stays, colourful rhododendron forests (magnificent in spring), and warm Gurung hospitality with spectacular Himalayan views every step of the way. Short in duration but long on memories.
